What a great month for news! After SolidWorks had pulled the EV (early visibility) build of 2010 SP3, it was pulled after a few hours of release for some "administrative" reasons and reposted, only to be replaced by SP3.1 a week later.  A majority of the "pulling" has been due to the rebranding of SolidWorks' DWG Editor, which has so elegantly been renamed to SolidWorks 2D Editor 2010.  The product no longer installs as part of SolidWorks 2010 Installation Manager and has to be manually downloaded from the customer portal.

There were some followups from my purchase of the iPad that prompted me to write my "Engineer's Guide to the iPad", which I briefly talk about along with the new embed ability of Google Wave into any website.

I also wanted to share a few tips on Windows 7 and a new found ability to connect to the free 25GB web storage, Microsoft SkyDrive, from Windows Explorer.  This was uncovered through the release of Microsoft Office 2010, which revealed the WebDAV URL in the "Save to Web" capability.  This URL can then be mapped as a network drive right inside of Windows Explorer!  Enjoy! ~Lou
